United Airlines has just advertised a new way to earn more Mileage Plus miles. Now through April 20, 2010, get 2,500 miles for up to three trips in three months!

I just read on the UA board within the last 36 hours the announcement, also communicated via cash register tape when you purchase items in store, that Safeway/Vons will no longer participate in the Grocery Miles program of UA MileagePlus in which 125 miles were doled out for every $250 of purchases.

Recently it was announced on the AA board that the Texas version of Safeway, Randalls, was also dropping out of the their Texas-centered version Grocery Miles which gave the same ratio of earning to AA or CO.
