Traveling solo can provide so many amazing experiences. However, for many of us, dining alone is not one of them.
David K. Gibson of AFAR offers six interesting tips on how to avoid the “dreaded table for one.”
They include:
- Find a local meeting for an organization that you’re a member of.
- Explore Meatspace.
- Expand your passions. For instance, if you have a favorite hobby, perhaps there is related get together in that area.
- Rub elbows such as at restaurant community tables.
- Embrace the uncomfortable.
- Expand your mind.
