Visiting Stockholm’s Largest Attraction : Its Beautiful Subways

If you’ve previously read my blog, you probably know that my favorite destination in world in New York. I love this city for so many reasons including its energy, its art, its restaurants and its culture.

Sad to say though, New York’s City’s subways are not on this list, and, while some stations such as Fulton are a vast improvement, so many can lack character and, importantly, up-to-date information.

 

This was brought home even more when my teenage daughter and I visited the subway stations in Stockholm, Sweden last month. Not only are they clean and well run, but they are uniquely beautiful.

Take a look at some of the stations that make up what has been referred to as the world’s longest art gallery:
