Lonely Planet has just published an interesting book, Toilet’s A Spotter’s Guide (Lonely Planet / $11.99 / April 12, 2016) which is said to feature over 100 of the world’s most stunning restrooms to remember, from every corner of the globe.
Whether it’s a remote toilet island in Belize, a waterfall washroom in Taiwan or a bird’s-eye view bathroom from London’s Shard skyscraper, Toilets: A Spotter’s Guide highlights the most memorable bathrooms on the planet (and even beyond it).
Let us know if you if you’ve found some unusual ones during your travels.
For me: we all know that Las Vegas can be known for its extravagance so why would some of its bathrooms be any different? Last month I had the opportunity to visit this destination for the grand opening of the T-Mobile Area. While there, I was invited to stay at one of Aria’s Sky Suites. All I can say is Amazing! Tons of roomy elegance, beautiful views, state of the art electronics and….. an over the top bathroom. Including its, ahem, high tech toilet:

Another really unusual restroom? While also in Vegas, a group of travel journalists and I were invited to a wonderful dinner at Rivea at the Delano. Next to this restaurant is the SkyFall Lounge which has striking views of the strip.

However, the restrooms in the SkyFall Lounge provide an unbelievable view as well.
