If you’ve read my posts, you know that I like to reference articles from the New York Times. I enjoy reading this paper, but today I was rather taken aback by Sam Robert’s review of James Bone’s new book, The Curse of Beauty: The Scandalous Tragic Life of Audrey Munson, America’s First Supermodel.
The first sentence of this article refers to Troy as “..the homely city in Upstate New York”. By most definitions, “homely” means unattractive. Where did this come from? With its scenic location by the Hudson River, its beautiful historic buildings, and its nice dining and retail options, Troy is a beautiful location that’s getting even better and better.
One response to “Troy, New York is not a “Homely City””
He obviously never walked down Second Street.
