Last Thursday, December 10, 2015, JetBlue started its flights from Albany International Airport to Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Local members of the business community, politicians, and Albany Airport representatives were all there to celebrate the big event with balloons, food, and speeches.

JetBlue invited me to take this inaugural flight, and I really enjoyed the nonstop ride. The seats were comfortable, and the flight attendants were friendly. And, with the ability to view free DIRECTV on individual screens, free wifi that actually worked well, and varied snacks, the flight went fairly quickly.

I asked passengers on this and a later return flight about what they thought of the experience. The response was pretty much the same: They thought the fares were a good deal, they liked the ride, and they wanted to travel with JetBlue again.
