We’re moving into the busy Spring/Summer travel season and,with the better weather,comes even more dreams of trips to far off lands.

But most countries have restrictive requirements that need to be fulfilled in order to cross their borders. I’ve already written about passport concerns, but what about the visa which is required in countries such as Russia, China, Brazil, and India?

Checkout out Stephanie Rosenbloom’s article, “Getting to the Front of the Visa Line”. Ms. Rosenbloom mentions three ways to more easily navigate the maze of procedures needed to obtain a visa:

1. Learn the Rules: Go to travel.state.gov to learn which rules you need to follow for each particular country that requires a visa.

2. Mind the Season: Try to give yourself enough time especially in high season. Ms. Rosenbloom notes that the travel experts suggest that you start the process two months in advance.

3. Hire Help: Ms. Rosenbloom suggests that we might be able to hire a professional company that could do the leg work for us such as CIBTvisas and Passport Rush. Allied Passport and Visa has also been recommended by travel experts as well.
