We’re finally moving into the nice weather here in the Northeast and, with school ending in a couple of months, many of us are planning a family trip.
But where to go? Do we take the more conventional resort or cruise vacation complete with a kids club? That’s great, but as Etain O’ Carroll of Lonely Planet notes, we could also take a more adventurous trip that may require a little more planning but may also result in an unforgettable travel memory.
Ms. O’Carroll suggests the following destinations:
Lofoten Islands, Norway,
Horse-drawn caravan holiday, Cumbria, England,
Working ranch holidays, USA,
Cultural discovery, Thailand,
Cappadocia, Turkey,
Gobi Desert, Mongolia,
Lanzarote, Canary Islands, Spain,
The national parks of Madhya Pradesh, India, and
Herm, the Channel Islands, Great Britain.
