Problems with figuring out what liquids you can actually bring on plane?

This is especially a concern right now for many of us bringing presents on board for the holidays. I remember years ago passing through security only to find out that a gift for my son, a small snow globe, was rejected by TSA.

While this may be irritating, TSA officials say security threats are real and the stakes are high.
