Travel Health: Tips On Traveling While Pregnant

Traveling during this busy holiday season can be a bit stressful. But what about the added component of being pregnant?  For some of us this may add another complication such as the more urgent need to use a bathroom on the plane.

Dr. Jan Rydfor provides a few suggestions to Emily Brennan of the New York Times including:

1. Precautions to take before a trip including a copy of your prenatal chart and a letter from your O.B. clearing you for travel, with your due date.

2. Things to pack.

3. Tips on the plane such as drinking as much water as possible.

4. The latest he recommends a pregnant woman to travel. If its along flight, 32-34 weeks. If not the very, very latest , he believes is 36 weeks.
