Thanks for all of the responses to my post about what creates “air rage.”  One source of anger that I’m hearing more and more relates to sick fellow passengers who are careless in spreading their illness. In light of the current Ebola fears, I think that we all can expect this complaint to continue to increase.

Check out Martha White’s interesting article on how to fight in-flight germs. Ms. White reports that various airlines including Southwest say that they have specific cleaning protocols to prevent the spread of pathogens.

Let us know if you think the carriers are doing enough.

Ms. White also describes what medical experts promote to avoid getting sick along with what some travelers are doing to sanitize their environment while on board such as bringing cleaning wipes, their own blankets, and small air purifiers.
