Concerns about Americans Traveling to the Middle East

Take a look at a recent Smithsonian.com post entitled “Should Americans Travel to the Middle East?”

Although this piece discusses the dangers of scheduling a trip to that area of the world, it also says, “But rather than red-list every nation of this diverse and misunderstood corner of the planet, let us consider which remain hospitable to travelers—and also feature must-see-before-we-die sites.”

The article notes concerns in: Iran, Saudi Arabia, Israel, Dubai, Egypt, Jordan, Libya and, even one of the most popular destinations,Turkey.
