LM asks:
I was negligent in checking my hotel points the last five years (not enough use for this particular hotel to be too concerned). As luck would have it, I have approximately HALF the credits I should have. Two of the hotels have gone out of business. At this point, I would be entitled to one night’s free stay. Any suggestions?
It’s hard to fully answer this question without knowing what program LM is talking about because each promotion usually has its own rules. I’d suggest the most obvious -call up the parent company to find out what hotels are still available and how you can get back your extra points.
LM, you may have to provide proof that you deserve the extra credit such as with receipts. If you paid with a credit card, you might be able to go back to your statements. Another concern would be the time limits for submitting this proof.
