Gluten-free Restaurants in NYC

My daughter, Sarah, has a gluten allergy so, naturally, I’m alway interested in finding restaurants that have gluten free dining options in NYC. Please let us know if you have any suggestions.

The magazine, Living Without, had a great article listing many eateries in NYC that are sensitive to Gluten allergies.

Here are some of them:

Pizza Places include- L’Asso, Uno Chicago Grill, Slice, Pie, and Pala.

Pan Asian: Lilli and Loo-792 Lexington Ave at 61st street

NY Deli: Friedman’s Lunch-75 Ninth Ave at 15th st.

Barbeque: Blue Smoke at 116 E. 27th btween Lexington & Park

Italian: Mario Batali’s Otto-One 5th Ave at 8th Street

  1. A website I launched almost three years ago, called GlutenFreeTravelSite ( http://www.glutenfreetravelsite.com ) enables visitors to search our huge database of gluten-free dining and travel reviews by location and map the results. Click on the Start Search button on this page ( http://www.glutenfreetravelsite.com/search.php ) to search by city/zip code and map the results. Just enter New York City in the Search Box, and you’ll get a map with a corresponding list of restaurants that have been reviewed for “gluten-free-friendliness” by users of our site. Click on any restaurant on the list to highlight its location on the map and link to the review. We also just launched a FREE mobile version of our site that’s automatically accessible when entering our site’s URL into any iPhone, Blackberry, or Android-based smart phone. Please let me know if you have any questions. You should find A LOT of new and “safe” restaurant possibilities in NYC — and elsewhere!
