Here it comes-holiday travel! During this time of year, possibly more than any other, we need as many tricks up our sleeve to survive going from our home to Grandma’s house.
The New York Times had an interesting article on tips from business people who travel frequently. One strategy is to avoid checking your bags so you can switch flights in case of delay or cancellation.
Another is to avoid getting into security lines behind people who look befuddled or are carrying gifts.
One of my stategies? If I have a stop over, I always try to get a seat on the first leg of the trip as close to the front of the plane as possible. If the plane is running late, and I have a close connection, the ability to get out quickly could make the difference between getting to that next flight and missing it.
