After our lunch at the Food Network last month, we were taken for a tour of the studio where “Ten Dollar Dinners with Melissa d’Arabian” is filmed.

I couldn’t get over the detail that was put into this set!

The window scenes made you feel as if you were in the suburbs in spring or summer when we were actually in the Chelsea part of Manhattan during late fall. There was even a slight breeze to gently blow the “leaves” on the trees.

Look at the window below. It has a video of an outdoor scene complete with moving cars.

And what does the film crew snack on between takes? Look below.

The amount of ‘junk food’surprises me. Thanks for the close-ups of the scenes that some of us watch frequently from our couches.

I would love to get a set of the green glass jars with red metal lids that Melissa D’Arabian uses for sugar, flour etc, on her set 10 Dollar Dinners. Are they antiques or new reproductions that can be found for purchase? Please guide me to the manufacturer if so. Thank you. Love the show!

I finally found the answer and will be posting it as well- The glass jars were bought from an antiques dealer in Maine. I was told that her website is:

On the set of Ten Dollar Dinners, Melissa uses brown paper towel which is on one of the vertical paper towel holders. I am wondering where I can find the brown paper towel? Thank You.

Kim,
Just an FYI for you. Guy Fieri and Ann Burell also use Brown paper towel. So it can’t be something weird or unusual. Wonder why Food Network is having such a time responding to you?
Thanks.

I’m heart broken! I was convinced the set was actually in someones house in what appeared to be a very lovely neighborhood. Romantic notions dashed when I learned the window scenes are video screens. Kudos to the producers! The place looks great.
