The New York Times recently published a great article stating that there are more than two dozen universities including Oxford in 20 cities in Britain that will transform their dormitories into Bed and Breakfasts.

These rooms are rented out during spring, summer and sometimes Christmas vacations.

The article reports that the average room costs about $37 to $60 a night (calculated at $1.40 to the pound).
