As I’ve mentioned before, I love NYC festivals because 1) there’s usually no admission price, 2) you have a wide variety of things to see and 3) you can leave this attraction any time you want.
Two weekends ago, I got the chance to attend the festival on 3rd Avenue. They had the usual scarves that generally sell for $4-5 a piece. Have you seen these pashminas resold in our area for $20.00?

The festival also had something that I’ve seen start to crop up-stands selling oreo cookies covered in sweet dough and deep fried.

They also had a few new things like this booth selling beautiful spice mixtures.

As an attraction, NYC’s Festivals are still great bargains.

I’m sure really bad for you, but it was great! The oreo was melted in the middle from the heat. I’m going to try and make it myself. They used a fried dough batter, coated it around the oreo cookie and then very quickly deep fried it. They then sprinkled it with powdered sugar. I probably could have gotten a recipe for the fried dough batter, but I saw that Bed, Bath and Beyond was selling tins of mixes and bought one.
