Full day spa packages are being offered in our area that can cost more than $400.00. That’s fine for some of us, but how about bumping it up quite a few notches for less money with a great deal at Canyon Ranch in Lenox, Massachusetts?

Canyon Ranch is a famous, world class spa resort that’s located about 45 minutes to an hour away from Albany, and it can cost thousands of dollars for a full multiple night stay there.

But, happy days, they’re continuing to offer a wonderful promotion- a Spa Day which costs $300.00. There is no sales tax, and gratuities are not expected or recommended.  Check out what’s included in a Spa Day that runs the day of your reservation from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm:

• Use of the Canyon Ranch’s beautiful facilities and grounds

• The opportunity to take part in the many lectures and fitness courses that are offered there.

• An allowance of $130.00 for your choice of treatment such as hair care, massage, manicure, or facial.

• A spa lunch to eat while a chef teaches you how to make the meal yourself.

I went to one of these earlier this year, and I really enjoyed it. On top of everything mentioned, they also provided me with valet parking, snacks, a tee shirt and a tote bag. Don’t forget your bathing suit-the indoor pools are very nice and the spa has good water aerobics courses.  When I was there, they also offered less usual fitness courses such as aerobic fencing.

The Spa Day could make a great holiday gift. As required by Massachusetts law, the gift certificate is good  for 7 years.

Check out their website before you decide when you’ll be going. They offer different courses and lectures at different times, and they provide a list of them one month in advance.  Make sure that you choose the Canyon Ranch in Lenox. MA. because there is also a Canyon Ranch  in Tuscon, AZ.

Don’t assume that everything they offer is included in the price. There are several extra services that require a fee including a consultation with a nutritionist.

We’re going into the winter, and Lenox is located in an area that could get a lot of snow so find out about the cancellation policies. I originally made a reservation for a date in December of last year. Because of a snow storm, they allowed me to cancel my reservation.
