One of my favorite travel tools is TravelZoo. They claim that they search over 1000 companies a week in order to come up with a list of the top 20 best travel sales, and I believe them. (http://www.travelzoo.com)
At first I was a bit skeptical and I was sure that there was a catch. But they’ve proven themselves to me over and over again. I’ve gotten $500/night suites in Washington D.C., Boston, and New York City for only $150.00 per night with no catches. I’ve also rented a terrific two bedroom luxury condo in Orlando for three nights for about $200.00.
I’ve also seen terrific deals for cruises, entertainment and flights for around the world on their website.
Beyond the bargain, is the fact that you don’t pay them to make the reservation like you would Travelosity or Expedia. They tell you about the deals, and they provide the direct link to the business along with a travel promotional code. As a result, I’ve never had to pay for my hotel room until I’m ready to check out.
Check it out! Also let us know where you discover deals.

My brother in law, who is a tightwad, always uses TravelZoo. He told me about it and I’ve been looking for flights to Ireland for next summer. I’m on their e-mail list and I get an e-mail every week.

Hi Kim,
This is interesting… I’ll have to send the link to my wife, she’s
always on the lookout for place we can take the family and save a little too…
Thanks.

Great. There are some interesting deals going on right now for hotels in NYC, Washington DC and Boston and there’s a promotion going on for a three night weekend Bahamas cruise. One tip, though, is that the offers sell out quickly because they are so good.
